Crossfit training – How it can provide a powerful work out than the traditional workout routines?

The difference between a traditional workout and crossfit training is similar to that between smelling the aroma of nicely brewed coffee and having an espresso shot. To elaborate, the difference lies in the energy spent, the amount of strength invested, and the kind of kick it literally gives you at the end.

Body building is in vogue! The six pack abs, the heavy muscles and the glorious looking body; all are trending heavily in the gym market. Have you taken to traditional workout routines to at the gym? If yes, you must know that they act slowly and take a long time to produce results. Worse, in some cases, the traditional work out system does not produce great results.

What’s Crossfit Training?

A traditional workout happens in a gym setup. You would be asked to carry hand weights of about 5 pounds or barbells that weight about 200 pounds. Either ways, you are stuck to a routine that’s structured around the machines and weights in a gym. Crossfit training happens to be a little different. It’s a rigorous workout that combines weight training, aerobics, and gymnastics in a way that makes your body functionally fit. It pushes your body to the extreme before it gets back into shape. It’s not just about making your body develop those muscles but a bit beyond that. It makes your body strong and fit while toning it up in every way.

Pros & Cons: Crossfit vs. Traditional Workout

If you are looking at traditional weight training, you have the advantage of setting pace and fixing your limits. You can begin with light weights and move on to the heavy ones. Of course, it won’t have a pace but with time you will build a few muscles.

On the other hand, there’s intensity and pace in crossfit fitness training. You don’t work out for long hours like you would in traditional weight training but you push your body to the core in those 15 mins of your work out. It is nonstop movement and a quick jump between jog, squats, and burpees. No doubt, there’s a lot of effort that goes into crossfit work out. You would be pushing your body and making it move with pace, but the result is worth the effort. With such a workout you can tone your body in matter of just a few days. Your work out days is short spanned and you burn more calories in the process than you normally would. With that said, there is some risk of injury and illness involved when you are pushing your body to the core, especially if you don’t do it properly. Therefore, it is recommended that you should exercise under expert guidance.

While traditional is good for those with a medical condition, for people who wish to build and shape their body while making it functionally fit, crossfit fitness training proves to be their power workout style. It’s got pace and pushes your body to the extreme in a span of minutes.
