The Organic Center Joins Jamba Juice Team Up For A Healthy America Lifestyle Initiative

EMERYVILLE, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–

Jamba Juice Company (JMBA[1]), a leading healthy, active lifestyle brand, today announced that The Organic Center has pledged to support Jambas innovative awareness program, Team Up for a Healthy America. The Jamba sponsored annual program seeks to raise awareness of the nations obesity epidemic by encouraging people to make weekly pledges to live a healthier lifestyle. The pledges can range from eating healthier foods, to incorporating exercise into your daily routine. The Organic Center, the leading research and education institute focused on the science of organic food and farming, will join Jambas existing partners, which include Venus Williams, WNBA, National Parent Teacher Association and the National Gardening Association, in supporting this campaign.

We are honored to be able to support this important program, said Joan Boykin, executive director of The Organic Center. We look forward to supplementing the campaigns existing resources with important nutrition information, including simple ways for families to affordably purchase and eat nutritious organic products to improve their health.

As part of the partnership, The Organic Center will help populate the Team Up website with important food and nutrition tips, including information about how to incorporate antioxidants into your diet, how to save when shopping for organic food and products, the top seven sustainable swaps to detox your home, and details on the nutritional benefits of eating organic grains. In addition, The Organic Center will be featured as one of Jambas partners of the month on the Team Up for a Healthy America website and some of the weekly pledges will be connected back to health-related messages from The Organic Center.

When we launched Team Up for a Healthy America we challenged other groups to join us in the education effort to show our nations youth how easy it is to lead healthier and more active lives, said Julie Washington, Chief Brand Officer, Jamba Juice Company. The partnership of these influential and active lifestyle organizations with our Team Up campaign demonstrates the commitment they have to children and their long-term health and well-being.

People seeking ways to enhance their exercise and diet routines can log onto www.myhealthpledge.com[2] and join a community of like-minded individuals committed to leading more healthful and active lifestyles. Everyone who pledges has an opportunity to earn the title of Ambassador of Fitness and win fun prizes. Pledges include fun and simple activities such as shooting hoops with friends, eating more organic grains, running in place, eating fruit for a snack or taking the stairs instead of the elevator. For every weekly pledge received, Jamba Juice will donate $1.00 toward the purchase of athletic equipment for schools in need through www.DonorsChoose.org[3], further reinforcing the importance of keeping kids active in the fight against obesity.

Ummmm… these don’t seem like really hard questions

foods= fruits, vegetables, meat (not too much), whole grains
male adults should avoid eating too much sugar because sugar begets wrinkles

fit?= get exercise, stop watching the TV and sitting on the damn sofa
i recommend not eating late too

      pretty much common sense

here’s my question about my apparent lack of a refractory period…

Being unhealthy or sick stops you doing things you want to do. Being sick when you could have avoided it is a waste of other peoples time if they have to look after you
